  • I know my Windows XP Product key is invalid, but I want to put the one on my laptop, no tools works to change it, my Windows still activate whenever what I do,,,,

    It would appear that you used one of the cracks available on the Internet to add Media Center functions to the original installation of XP  that came with your Compaq Evo N880c laptop.  As you have noted, this cause the factory installation of XP to be converted to a nongenuine installation with an Invalid Product Key.

     

    As far as I know, the Product Key Updater Utility will NOT work to "genuine-ize" a nongenuine installation of XP Media Center Edition, either into a genuine installation of XP Home or into a genuine installation of XP Pro.  So the solution is to do a clean installation using the Compaq-supplied Recovery solution after backing up your data.
