Can an upgrade version of windows 7 do a clean install of win7 x64? RRS feed

  • Question

  • When i purchased my computer it came with windows vista home basic 32-bit. I recently purchased the upgrade version of windows 7 home premium,I upgraded to win7(32bit) right after i bought it. and I was wondering if my discs could perform a clean install of windows 7 64 bit. I am sure my processor is capable but I keep running into walls when trying to find information on this subject. I was also told that my discs could perform a clean install I would just need my vista cd rom and product key, but there is only 1 problem. when i purchased my computer it already came with it installed. I have the product key just no cd rom. i need HELP on this. I am so ready to go 64 bit i just dont know what to do. i was also told i might have to go out and buy a full version of windows 7 just to go x64! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!
