problem with sending and receiving messages

  until recently sent messages went to out box and out immediatly. Now the stop or hang up in outbox and I must hir send and receive for the hung meeages to go one by one. When they are all out--Viola 267 (actual) incoming message came in.  These incoming messages had obviously been bloked by the unsent messages in the outbox or vice versa. This is causing us a real problm. We will appreciate and help.

  We use Windows xp 2003, outlook for email. Contacted Microsoft but they transfered me to Dell. No help
