If you read the text at https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp/tools/MCPDirectoryPreferences.aspx, it states:
By entering an Access Code I allow Microsoft to disclose my certification information to any person that successfully provides the combination of my Transcript ID and Access Code.
i.e. you need to CREATE an Access Code, enter it into the box and then click on submit.

Get them to provide an official Microsoft transcript or ask them to enable transcript sharing so you can view their online transcript which is under the control of Microsoft

No, Transcript ID is not the same as a Microsoft Certification ID.
Yes they need to provide you with both the Transcript ID and Access Code.
No, there's no other way except for asking them to provide an official copy of there transcript.

Can you tell me what Transcript ID is?? and where can i find it on a certificate?Monday, May 28, 2012 12:02 PM

Did you have a look at the link I provided?
MCPs can elect to share their certification information by providing you with their Transcript ID and their Access Code.
When a MCP wants to share their transcript, they grant access via this link https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp/tools/MCPDirectoryPreferences.aspx. This is where they are provided with a Transcript ID and asked to create an Access Code.

Hi,
You can find them on the MCP site MCP.microsoft.com...there you have to login with the LiveID which has your certifications attached to it.

there should be an option under transcript after you log into the mcp site that says share your transcript. After clicking this it will give you your transcript ID and access code. It will also give you a link that you can give to employers along with the Transcript ID and access code so they can verify your information.Monday, May 28, 2012 9:11 PM
