Issue with removing user account from old AD server RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Windows 7 client that was connect to a previous AD server (Windows 2008). I have since re-work the AD server and all client have been migrated over except for one. This client will not allow me to remove the user account reference created by the previous AD server. Steps I have done to remove this account hcardin the client name ws-client-p06 are:

    1) regedit and remove user account in profileimagelist c:\User\hcardin

    2) tried removing user account located in c:\User - failed. for sub folder Microsoft and temp

    3) Right click on folder C:\User\hcardin and changed ownership of user account folder to a valid local user name ws-client-p06\Chuck

    4) Login using local account WS-CLIENT-P06\Chuck

    5) Tried removing the user account again - Failed with message "You require permission from WS-CLIENT-P06\Chuck to remove this object"

I am logged in as the user that owns the folder/Object but the system does not reconize my authority to remove it
