Automatic Updates not working correctly. RRS feed

    Hi,

    I logged on to my WHS this evening only to be notified that there was an update available to install.

    I have updates set to automatic so was surprised that the single update had been downloaded but not installed without my intervention.

    Is this a common problem that anyone else has encountered, or is there a setting that I need to change.

    Any advice would be appreciated,

    Most likely it downloaded between 7:00 am that morning and the time when you logged into the desktop.  You can see when it downloaded by checking the event logs.

    If an update requires you to agree to an End User License Agreement, you will be prompted as you describe, as Microsoft can't legally install those updates silently.
    I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

    Ah, but I wasn't required to agree to anything, I just clicked on the update message and it installed on it's own.
    I then had to initate a restart but that was it - so is this correct operation, doesn't seem to be to me ?

    Are you installing through the Console or through the server desktop?
