Duplicate Detection problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

Got a bit of a strange problem with the duplicate detection functionality on one of our client's servers.  Basically, the setup was developed in house and then the customisations were exported from our development system and imported into their live system.  What seems to be happening is that once the duplicate detection job has run it provides a URL so that you can view the duplicates.  However, the URL seems to be pointing to our development server instead of their live one.

Has anyone else had the same problems and if so how did you resolve this?

    Many thanks,

    Douglas

  • To anyone who experiences a similar issue.  Turns out the problem lay with the email template that was used to send out the message once the duplicate detection job had finished.  If you looked at the XML of the email template you could see that the URL was incorrect.  Anyway, just in case anyone else has similar issues when exporting templates from one system to another.

  • Are you using the standard checkbox on the duplicate detection job creation form to say "email when completed," or do you have something set up to email you automatically.  Any chance you have some kind of custom workflow automating the email where the server URL could be hard coded?

  • Hi Joel

Thanks for replying.  I believe that the link is in the email which the duplicate detection facility emails out once the job has completed running.
