  • Question

  • I too have never been able to access billing.microsoft.com. I have tried for 4 weeks. Now I cannot cancel my service without a charge.
You have to do it within 30 days. This is not a good web site. Is it a scam??? What is a good phone number for these people??

  • You do not need to cancel your OneCare subscription, nor will you be charged for renewal.

See this post for End of Life information for Windows Live OneCare - http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/onecaregeneral/thread/81996436-edad-41ba-bdfc-02fc094e2ca9

What actually happens when you go to https://billing.microsoft.com and sign in with your subscription ID and password (as shown in Help/About in OneCare)?

  • It tells me this web site cannot be displayed or it takes me in a circle and right back to the page
    I was on before.

  • That seems strange. In IE 7/8, go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and click on the button to reset to default. That will clear any temporary files and cookies and reset everything. Then restart IE and try logging in again.

In any event, you will not be charged, nor do you need to cancel as OneCare is no longer being sold and you cannot renew it. You may be given a free extension, but you'll receive an email when that happens.
