Tried Live Mesh Now my Local PC Files are Missing RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am hoping someone can help me here.  I am a bit of a panic

I installed Live Mesh on a PC running Vista Home
I selected a folder to synchronize.  It started to synch.  Then I realized that the folder and subfolders were too big over 5GB, so before the synch completed, through Explorer, I selected Live Mesh Options, Delete Folder.

Now I can't find any of the files on my computer or in the Recycle Bin.

What happened?  How do I recover these files?  I don't have a backup.

  • Did you delete it locally or in the cloud?

If you deleated it locally you deleated the folder holding you files locally and they are either in your trash or potentially gone..

Mesh does not create another folder it copies the contents of one folder to the cloud and other machines - on the other machines if you delete files in those syncing folders you will see all the folder in each dissapear..

That said when you delete those files do go to each machines trash respectively... thus you might be able to recover them from there also..
