modal pages won't render RRS feed

  • Question

  • Has anyone seen this?

Remote user (web or Outlook client) goes to edit a contact.  On saving the change triggers the duplicate detection modal which never renders -- the little spinner in the middle.

I figured it had to be a pop up blocker, but get this.  When I remote into her computer and browse in using my creditials, the detection window completes allowing me to press the save record button and continue.  She has exactly one security role which is used by a few others who are not complaining -- it's possible that they have never triggered duplicate detection.

So, what privileges should I be checking for?

Or, what could be the problem otherwise?

I purged the Outlook client and reinstalled with the new package containing rollup 7.  Even though the behavior is in the browser as well.

  • Hi,

It is possible that the other users might not have created duplicate records OR dont' even know such a rule exists.

The "Duplicate Detection Rule" object is on the Core Records of the security role form. Please ensure that the role the user belongs to has access to the duplicate detection rule object.

    Hassan.
