JJon,
Your issue appears to be outside the scope of the Genuine Advantage forum. In an attempt to assist I would like to provide some information which may help. More than likely the company was using a volume licensing which they purchased. The Volume Licensing will not be transferrable from one company to another or individua. Jon look @ the COA stickers on each Dell which you are purchasing. What operating system does the COA indicate each Dell is licensed for? Next verify if the COAs are authenticate. Please verify by reviewing the How To Tell website by visiting here: http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2378712&SiteID=25&mode=1 .
Please contact Dell Technical Support for assistance. Here is the following information:
http://search.dell.com/index.aspx?s=gen&c=us&l=en&ec=k&ira=False&cat=sup&advsrch=False
800- 624-9896
Next you will want to explain how you aquired the systems. More than likely the systems will require being transferred into your name. Previously Dell had an online forum/process for transferring systems. Also you may want to keep proof of purchase. Should the company give you the systems I would recommend you request a letter indicating they are giving you the machines and include the Dell Service Tags (serial numbers) for each system.
Next I would inquire how you may purchase the Recovery software for each model of system. Also some recovery media will work on various models but please discuss this with Dell Technical Support. Recovery CD’s are specific to your computer manufacturer and possibly models.
Another alternative may be to visit Dell Community Forums @ http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/. Maybe you can search for replace a lost Dell system restore disk.
Since the telephone number and web sites are not maintained by Microsoft we cannot make any warranty as to their validity.
Thankyou,
Stephen Holm, MS

Thanks for the reply Stephen,
first of all thanks for the advice, but i think it got more complicated from finding out the volume license and what company hold them. well the 30 pieces of computer are coming from EBAY sellers, which i think they acquired the computers from companies that replaces their old computer for new ones. the COA is for XP SP1. the HD that comes with the base unit is already wiped out, and the COA should be authentic as i know they came from corporate company which i think the "middle man" cant possibly know where the base unit came from, i could ask them to find out more about the computers history. as you said in your reply i quote "Should the company give you the systems I would recommend you request a letter indicating they are giving you the machines and include the Dell Service Tags (serial numbers) for each system" thats the problem as i havent mentioned earlier on my post, that im buying the base unit from EBAY seller. so my dilemma has gone from bad to worst, any other way of doing it the easier way without doing all those things you said? i.e. buying the CD? individually or any better suggestion or idea?
PS. the number you gave me i think is a number for US enquiries, im from UK.
kind regards,
jonathan

Jonathan,
Interesting question. Unfortunately I would not be able to give you guidance and do apologize. Maybe you can contact Dell prior purchasing and ask what would be required on your part prior making the purchase. Example would be like calling an insurance company prior purchasing a new car so you can ask for insurance costs prior purchasing a new auto. Maybe the bill of sale would suffice but again I am not educated in this area :-).
As far as software. Some manfacturers offer the recovery software discs for sale. The customer would provide the serial number of the machine etc and then you would pay for the disc. Each company is different. Also I provided you with the Dell Newsgroup where maybe you can find assistance. Hopefully I was able to provide you with enough information to assist.
Take care and have a great week J onathan,
