Why is incoming email for a duplicate record (one of which is deactivated) only showing up in Closed Activities in the inactive record? RRS feed

    I have two records which i identified as duplicate as both have the same email address and are for the same contact. I deactivated one and changed the emails fields to 'do not allow'. Now when an email comes into Dynamics from this contact and goes into the correct queue, the email is only showing in the Closed Activities of the inactive record. Thewhich i have set the email fields to 'Do Not Allow'.

    This means that when an email comes in Dynamics its pulling in the 'inactive' record. Any ideas on how I can make sure it points to the 'Active' record.
