New behavior of deletions?

Question
-
It seems as if the recent update/maintenance introduced a new behavior with deleted posts: all the text remains, but with strike-through formatting. What's the purpose of that?

Thanks everyone, we'll log a bug and look into fixing this. I'm going to lock this for now so the thread doesn't get out of control.

I believe that is what Moderator's see, at least in the forums they moderate. It's so you can undelete. If you are seeing this and you are not a moderator, then that would be new.

Well, I first noticed it in the MVP test forum, in a thread where i have been posting (and deleting) a number of messages over the past days:

Users can always see posts they have themselves deleted (per Stefan's example). If someone can give me an example of deleted post they shouldn't be able to see, that'd help me out.

Here is an example http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/reportabug/thread/154b9c68-32da-4899-be2a-a7b48d528005 although I see this new behavior in every thread that has deleted messages now.

Community Forums Program ManagerEarlier, I saw only a label "Deleted" for my own deleted messages; there were no deleted posts that I could still read (that is, not even my own).

The last reply in this thread is from vinaypugalia at Saturday, October 01, 2011 4:32 AM. Do you mean the one above it from jfjoes joefjo at Friday, September 30, 2011 2:22 PM?
Can you guys screen capture a couple of examples? This looks like some sort of bug introduced.

As (I guess) a normal, typical user, I'm not seeing any deleted posts. I do not see the post Stefan posted an image of above, for example. This says the issue isn't being seen by everyone I guess.
