OCS design considerations RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am going to be doing an install of OCS for roughly 12,000 users and have a few question. We are looking to use most of the edge services such as conferencing, federation, and remote access.

    1. We are upgrading from an LCS 05 Standard, anyone know of any issues with this?

    2. Any basic design recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Unless you have a low level of concurrency, you'll need a couple EE servers in a consolidated configuration with a SQL backend and at least one edge server (more if you want redundancy).

Your question is very general, and therefore so is my answer.  A number of things could affect the actual design.
