  • Question

  • Why is it that i have to start Live One Care when a reboot my pc. I reinstalled and followed all of the instructions to correct this problem? I unistalled Norton but if Live One Care will not automatically startup then I may as well not use any virus protection.

  • The most common reason for this is a resource issue at startup that causes the OneCare service to fail to start within a prescribed timeframe. Once it fails, it does not currently retry to start. I believe that the team is working on a future update to have the service keep retrying on failure at load as, such as in your case, manually starting the service usually works fine after the resources become available.

You should contact support to determine if there are startup items that can be disabled to allow OneCare to start properly at boot.
