    Hi,

    What does it mean if Status Reason is Closed and for that record, Status is Open ?

    No, this is not possible, unless changes are being made in some kind of unsupported manner. The Status and Status Reason fields are directly linked so you cannot have the combination you are seeing unless someone has set up a 'Closed' Status Reason for the 'Open' Status. Out of the box the only Status Reason values possible for a Status of Open is 'New' and 'Contacted'.

    It means someone has set up bad values. The out-of-the-box values for Status Reason, for the Open Status are New and Contacted.

    Thanks for your reply.

    You mean to say someone has set wrong value ,set Status Reason to Closed and forgot to Close the Status ?

    In case of Lead ..someone keep Status Reason to Closed and forgot to change lead Status to Closed and it remained Open ?

    Is it so Leaon ?

    Hi Milan,

    By default this combination is not possible . Such errors can happen if the data was imported from the excel sheet. So do have a check there.
