Email Router, BCC emails not recieved RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have a CRM 4.0 system working for customer service where customers write emails to customerservice@company.com. Then a plugin works to distrubutes these in to various queues based on topic etc.

This works fine, except when the customerservice@company.com address apears in the BCC field of the email and the other fields contains addresses not found in CRM; a warning is found in the eventlog and the email does not appear in CRM at all.

Tried to debug the plugin (deliverincomming), but the email does not reach this point.

Obviously we want the email to appear in CRM, but the email router does not seem to agree. Is there anyway to configure or create a workaround to get emails with CRM-addresses in the BCC field? Is this considered a bug or is there a reason for this functionality?

    Regards,

    Christian Myrvold

  • You can only work around this problem, cause bcc is not supported with the email router

You can use Exchange Transport Rule to send this email to a forwarding email address (then the email is in TO: and can be processed by the email router)

  • Have you setup the queues that assigned with the email address?

Is you email router been configured and running correctly?

  • Hi Vincent,

yes we have one queue assigned with that address. The exact same email works just fine if we move the customerservice@company.com address to appear in the Cc or To field of the email instead. So i assume everythink is setup correctly with regards to email router and CRM queues.

Basically we want all emails that come into that mailbox to be delivered into CRM, but he email router seems to be filtering out certain emails.
