HELP - Problem with Validate Vista on New Gateway Computer RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi MS Support or anyone who knows how to resolve this issue,

Recently I bought this desktop computer from Gateway (Model: GT5412 Personal Computer with Windows Vista Home Edition installed, Intel Core 2 Duo Proc. E4300). I brought this computer to Asia and when I go online to MS to validate Vista, it gave the erros message:

This copy of Windows did not pass genuine validation. Either an unauthorized change was made to Windows files or a software program installed on this computer is not currently compatible with Windows Vista.

According to the Gateway website, "The validation process is easy to use, only takes a few moments to run and once completed enables you to more quickly receive genuine Windows downloads in the future."

    http://www.gateway.com/dw/mda/jumppage/msgenuine.php

    Please help.

    Thanks.
