Tried every step of the troubleshoot and mesh only syncs folders and not files

Question
-
I have a Win7 Starter NetBook and a Windows XP Desktop. First I tried to sync my "All Music" folder which is about 30GB with P2P. The result was that all folders were synched and less than 10 mp3 files. I created a text file inside All Music and the file was correctly synched.
Then I tried creating more smaller folders (less than 50MB) and the result was the same, only folders were synced but this time not even one file, only folders.
I tried adjusting the NTFS permissions allowing everyone and all users with full control but there was no luck. I also tried synching even smaller folders including also syncronization with the Desktop but again only folders were syncronized.
How can I fix this problem? I would really like to see mesh working for me
thank you

I did a dir *.mp3 /s and the command only reported 43 files overnight... dont know if the fact that my "client" its a netbook...
Anyway, I erased that folder and started to try with very small folders and everything worked just fine.
I haven´t tried to add again AllMusic folder because I am kind of worried about the possible corruption warning.
I think I´ll start reading about Live Sync, however I think that LiveMesh it´s a great idea and really look forward to see it released very soon,

How long are you waiting before deciding that files are not synchronizing. Since you are synchronizing loads of data, even if only via P2P, this can take days to sync fully. The folders will sync first, then the files will slowly make their way over. If you left the Music folder in the Mesh and added more smaller folders, you added to the amount of data pending sync.
I recommend removing all folders from the Mesh and starting over with a single small folder to observe the sync process. Let us know what happens when you do this.
Note also that you should have a backup of any data you include in the Mesh as it is a beta and data can be lost or corrupted in the worst case.
If you only wish to sync P2P, consider using the released version of Live Sync - http://sync.live.com - as rumor has it that Live Sync and Live Mesh will be combined in the next release of Windows Live programs and services.

ok thanks, I left the pcs turned on all night, a there was some advance in the all music folder (about 50 files). I´ll try your suggestion about removing all folders and leaving only a smaller one to see what happens and will report results,
thanks again

Looking forward to your update. 50 files overnight does seem rather slow.

The fact that it is a netbook should not be an issue, but the fact that it worked fine for a smaller directory tells me that Live Mesh is working, which is why I marked your latest post as the answer. Do have a look at Live Sync as it will likely do what you need. And, with Live Sync and Live Mesh becoming one in the future, starting with the production version of Live Sync may be best for your needs right now.
