My Product key which is a free 2 year subscription works but doesn't activate on my account! RRS feed

  • When i made a windows live ID and activated my free 2 year subscription it all worked perfectly, but for some reason i don't have a subscription. What's going on here?!

  • Did you activate the subscription on the web using a "token" from a card? You still need to activate OneCare on the PC - open OneCare, click subscribe and sign in with the same LiveID you used for the activation and OneCare will activate on the PC.

    If your subscription to OneCare shows as still trial mode after purchase and activation in OneCare

    • Verify that you have a clear Internet connection - no other security programs running.
    • Check your PC date and time.
    • Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
    • Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About...

    If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.
