  • Question

  • I was a moderator on the old forums.  On the new forums it doesn't list me as a moderator.  I'm not sure whether it is suppose to or not.

Irrelevant of all that I don't see any of the moderator options I use to have like moving a thread or deleting a thread.  What am I missing?

  • Yes, Jeremy from the forums team set me up.  I was missing from the list.  And yes it is no longer forums wide.  Not sure whether this is a good idea or not since I might find a posting in the CLR forums that is better suited for the C# forums but we'll see how it goes.

  • This wouldn't be the first move that reset the mod list.  You may or may not still be a moderator in this new site...  (the thing is such a honking mess that  not being a mod might be a good thing - sorry trying not to rant about how much this sucks since it is brand  new...).

  • Hi Michael,

Did you find that your moderator tools have reappeared?  Mine have - it appears they just did not have all existing mods setup yet.  It looks like moderator settings are no longer forum wide so you may only have moderator access in certain forums.

I'm still trying to get over my negativity - still feel like this new layout is giving me A.D.D...  but the new post editor is great and the AJAX stuff is nice too.  It would be nice to have some indication of when a partial postback is in progress though - it can be tuff to tell when an operation is complete...
