About inactive records RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    Here I have a question and not sure it is just configuration.

    When I inactivate a record in CRM is it possible to find it by using any searchable attribute ?. Currently I just can locate it by using Advance Find feature but no when I type internal code in any existent view.

  • Hi Yohan,

    Export the contact customization file and open in xml editor and find following section:-

    <LocalizedName description="Quick Find Active Contacts" languagecode="1033" />
          <iscustomizable name="No">0</iscustomizable>
          <isquickfindquery name="No">0</isquickfindquery>
          <isuserdefined name="Yes">1</isuserdefined>
          <isdefault name="No">0</isdefault>
          <returnedtypecode formattedvalue="2">2</returnedtypecode>
          <queryapi />
           <grid name="resultset" object="2" jump="fullname" select="1" icon="1" preview="1">
            <row name="result" id="contactid">
             <cell name="fullname" width="300" />
             <cell name="telephone1" width="100" />
             <cell name="address1_city" width="100" />
          <customizationlevel formattedvalue="1">1</customizationlevel>
          <querytype formattedvalue="32">32</querytype>
           <fetch version="1.0" output-format="xml-platform" mapping="logical">
            <entity name="contact">
             <attribute name="fullname" />
             <attribute name="address1_city" />
             <order attribute="fullname" descending="false" />
             <attribute name="telephone1" />
             <filter type="and">
              <condition attribute="statecode" operator="eq" value="0" />
             <attribute name="contactid" />

    change the filter

    <filter type="and">
                        <condition attribute="statecode" operator="eq" value="0" />

    filter type="or">

    <condition attribute="statecode" operator="eq" value="1" />

    <condition attribute="statecode" operator="eq" value="0" />

    <filter type="and">
                        <condition attribute="statecode" operator="not-null" />

    Import and publish the customization. Please remember.

    1. Take a back of customization before doing this.

    2. Try both the filters one by one and test the search results (I suspect first filter might not work).

    3. I haven't tested this therefore do let me know the outcome.

    Good luck
