Exam 70-640

Question
-
I have a question about which course is best suited for for in order to take 70-640 exam. I have worked extensively on AD 2003 and am fairly familiar with AD DS on 2008. Was going to do a powershell course but now have a credit towards another course.
I see that there are three different versions of the 6425 course, A; B and AL - which of these should I do before I take 70-640??? What are the differences between them??
Thanks.Thursday, January 21, 2010 9:37 AM

You will need to study the following courses:
6425B: Configuring and Troubleshooting Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Domain Services (5 Days)
6426B: Configuring and Troubleshooting Identity and Access Solutions with Windows Server 2008 Active Directory (3 Days)
When even MSFT releases a course they mark it as "A", as they modify the content this letter changes to "B" or "C". AL is for Distance Learning courses.
Hope this was helpful.

The courses you should take should be the last letter in the series, but please bare in mind that the 2003 tests and 2008 tests are very different. If you have not taken any of the 640 series tests yet, I will warn you that it is a lab scenario now and not just written and a few interactive answers. I HIGHLY recommend you use the Microsoft Press Training Kit books and do the lab walk-throughs instead of JUST the ExamCram "learn these things" cheat sheets. With 2 labs with 8 to 10 tasks each, THEN 60 written questions, it is definitely worth the extra time to learn HOW to do everything. The actual courses are the best to learn these. Just took the test this morning with a first-time pass and luckily had the right materials for the job. Still missed a few in the lab becuase I didn't look to see that it had one. I won't make that mistake ever again. Good luck.
