Office 2010 is still in Beta. Typically, you will not find "official" support from other products until they RTM as the dev teams would spend way to many hours chasing other teams Beta releases. However, the UR7 Outllok add-in will work with the 2010 Beta, but support is not guaranteed. Support has indicated that they will do their best to assist with issues related to 2010, but the solution could be "wait for RTM".

hi matt!
it's not a problem with office 2010, but with 64-bit support! any ideas?Thursday, November 19, 2009 9:37 PM -
The CRM Outlook client is currently only available for 32-bit Office.
A future version of the CRM client will support 64-bit office, but I don't have a timeframe on it.

Hello again
Does anybody know if there is a possibility to run the OL-Client with Office x64 (Office 14 RC) ?? Or at least with a workaround?
Kind regardsFriday, February 5, 2010 9:25 AM -
You'll need to install Outlook 2010 Beta in 32-bit mode, as CRM 4.0 for Outlook does not (and most likely will not ever) support 64-bit Office. I imagine that CRM 5.0 might support 64-bit Office, but I don't think the CRM team are planning a 64-bit version of CRM 4.0 for Outlook.
Note, some early adopters have had some issues installing CRM 4.0 for Outlook with Office 2010 beta installed. It's best to install Office 2007, then CRM 4.0 for Outlook, then upgrade to Office 2010 beta.Friday, February 5, 2010 1:20 PMModerator -
Any news on a timeframe for CRM outlook available for 64-bit office? Just bought a new PC and can't synchronize with my 2010 outlook.Wednesday, August 11, 2010 1:19 PM

CRM works great on 32-bit 2010 (on 64-bit Windows)- Be sure to update to the UR12 Update rollup since there were some changes specifically in that UR for Office 2010.
No support of the client in 64-bit Office 2010 is announced (or expected.)

The lack of CRM support for 64 bit Office may draw attention to the apparent lack of coordination between the Personal Productivity and Customer Relations product families, giving the impression that Microsoft is this lumbering, uncoordinated giant. This should be remedied and soon. I don't believe business owners trust a lumbering, uncoordinated giant to supply their information infrastructure solutions.
