OCS installation succeeded but with several 0x03EC796D warnings. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Should I ignore the warnings and proceed?  I'm holding off the configure certficate module until I resolve the warning.

Activate Standard Edition Server Log: LC Server[2009_10_01][14_57_18]_Activate.html - Warning [0x03EC796D] Wizard was successful, but one or more warnings occurred during execution of the wizard. Please check the log file for more information.

Looking over the logs I see several other places where this orange warning occurs for instance; "Verify Attribute Values: false" or "Object State: Not Ready" in various components.  All of which consistently indicate that the component installation succeeded, and the entire module succeeded as far as I can tell.

I can't find any TS documentation that relates to cause specific to my installation.

    Advice would be appreciated please.

  • I have seen this before when AD has not yet replicated in large organizations.  I would recommend completing your deployment and activation, force AD replication and re-run the validation wizards from the OCS MMC.

  • Hi
    Agree with mark.
Per my know, it is usually caused by that.
So please ensure that AD replication is complete and continue the deployment of OCS SE pool.
And please ensure the GC is available and all the object has replicated to GC.

    Regards!

  • Thanks for the reply, Mark.

This OCS installation is for testing in a UC lab.  There is only one PDC, Exchange '07, Cisco UCM and the OCS.  I will proceed following your advice.
