CRM login RRS feed

  • Question

  • does anyone have an idea why a pc that is not part of the domain will allow crm users to login and a pc that is part of the domain will NOT allow crm users to login.        i did the setspn command, and allowed the web server to delegate from the AD server.

The after the users enter username and passwd on the pc that is part of domain, they get blank screen.    however pcs that is not part of domain, crm logon is successfull

    please help

  • ok update.

when i use server ip address for the crm website on the domain pc's,  it works no problem.    but when i use name thats when i get blank screen error i.e  "the page cannot be displayed".

if i remove the setspn, then i go back to the problem of login prompt keeps poping up.  when i put it back, then it goes to blank page.

    any ideas anyone

  • Hi,

Try ping the CRM server from the client machine and also try also adding the server name entry in Hosts file at location C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

  • Hi Abuja,

Is this CRM 4.0 or CRM 2011?

This look like SPN issue, please find the duplicate SPN records from your Active Directory Server by using this syntax

    ldifde -f c:\spn_out.txt -d "DC=<DomainName>,DC=<TLD>" -l serviceprincipalname -r "(serviceprincipalname=*/<searchstring>*)" -p subtree

and for the brief information regarding SPN, please check this URL

If it is CRM 4.0, What is the status of Windows Authentication for CRM Website?
