This looks as if the machine is unable to  communicate with the Validation server - which is most likely to be caused by a firewall or proxy server.

Try going to the Validation site, and attempting to validate Windows there - what is the EXACT error message, if any, you get?

    What firewall are you running?
    Any proxy servers?

  • This gives me the same problem. It says the version I am running is not genuine. I am, however, in another country using someone elses' internet and I'm not sure what the firewall settings are.

The reason for asking for updated MGADiag reports is so that we can see whether any changes have been made by actions taken - in this case it looks like nothing has changed.

Look in the Device Manager - make sure that you opt to Show Hidden Devices.
Are there any with Yellow or Red flags on them?
If so, remove them, (by uninstall in Device Manager) - then reboot.
    See if that changes anything.
     (new MGADiag please)

  • Hello Girardi7,

Try going to http://microsoft.com/genuine and click the Validate Windows button (if you tried this already, try one more time).  If you still have problems after running the Validation, create a (no cost) support request at http://support.microsoft.com/gp/contactwga for further assistance.

    Thank you,
