Are you saying that the cursor/insertion point suddenly moves to a different location? If so, and if you are using a laptop, the issue is usually caused by an over-sensitive touchpad. Try changing the touchpad settings in Control Panel.

FWIW, my guess would be that you're using a laptop with a touchpad, or a touch screen, and your thumb or something is hitting the pad/screen, thus changing the location of the cursor.
