Office XP Says it's Activated OGA says it's invalid RRS feed

  • Question

  • My Office XP when running the OGA says that it has not been activated but the software says that it is. This just started ocurring a two weeks or so ago.
It now won't allow any documents other then ones on the computer to open and gives an invalid path error.

I have attached the diagnostic report so someone can figure out what is going on or help me find the right group that can.

  • Hello P. Liechtenstein,

Here is a snippet of your mgadiag report:

The symptoms that you describe do occasionally happen on long-time activated installations of Office XP and to a lesser extent, Office 2003.

Please run the FixIt in Method 2 of this MS KB article:
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/903275

After running the FixIt, restart the computer, then open up an Office program, activate Office if necessary, then visit www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on the Validate Office button.  Your Office should validate normally.

Post back to let us know if it worked for you :-)
