Changing the state of a workflow process in code (error when programatically changing custom workflow status) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've made a tool to backup ownership and disable all the processes (workflows) before installing a major solution update, this is so the ownership and state of the processes can be automatically restored after the update. However I have a number of workflows which use custom plugins which give me an error when I try to programatically change their state to Draft. In this case I get an error: "Error generating UiData". (btw the workflow owner is the same as the "run as" user)

If I change the state using the CRM interface this works fine, it just doesn't work when using code. Any ideas?
