Because of an infection of my computer, I opted to completely reinstall Windows 7 Professional with the help of Dell Pro Support.  I used a disk that they sent me to reinstall.  I have a valid product key for this product and am installing it on the same computer originally purchased from Dell.  However, Microsoft cannot validate it as genuine and I cannot get updates.  My product key does not seem to match the product key shown in the report above, though.

  • There are no problems with the MGADiag report. The Key appears to have been accepted, and the license is activated and validated.

  • Matches the MGADiag output of my own Dell Optiplex 7010 system.  No need to supply a product key at all if using genuine DELL restore or installation media for Windows 7.  It should already activate during installation.
