WINDOWS XP HOME validation fails on HP laptop RRS feed

  • Question

  • i bought an HP Pavillion ZV5000 with Windows XP home

Under the laptop there is the orginal label with this:

    Windows XP Home Edition

Priduct key that i prefer not to write for obvious reasons.

    X10-6024

    375052-001

The HD creashed so i had to change it and i downloaded original XP Home CD ISO with SP3

from MSDN site (my firm bought MSDN service) to reinstall the same original OS.

So i try to install the right OS system but the activation failed.

I also tried to call the MS service typing Product Id from WGA activation windows 8telephone activation),

the answer from robotic voice is always that my copy of windows is not original !!!

I tried also to click on the link of WGA activation but the link is broken !

I download the Diagnostic Tool i found in other thread and i post the result:

It appears that you've installed the OS without entering any Key - I believe that the Key here is the Default (Keyless Install) Key
You should be able to change the Key to the one on your sticker using the Product Key Update tool - from here

  • You'll need to use the Windows Product Key Update Tool to enter the product key, then you'll need to "activate by phone".
