Multiple pen drives RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi
I backup my files to multiple pen drives, but after installing synctoy2 it syncs to the 1st drive but when I try to sync to the 2nd and 3rd pen drives it says it can't because it can't find the correct marker file in the destination directory.  It says to recreate the folder pair, which I did and now it sync's to the 2nd drive, but gives the same error when trying to sync to the 1st drive.  All pen drives are mapped to the same drive letter (G), and I've used synctoy 1.4 for years with multiple drives and never had this.  Does anyone have ideas how this can be fixed?
    Many Thanks

  • I think the problem is caused by that one folder pair definition can only be used for one pair of folders.

In your case, you have multiple pen drives, you will need to create different folder pairs.

For example, use Pair1 to sync between Main - PenDrive1, use Pair2 to sync between Main-PenDrive2.
