Re-installed Live OneCare after firewall problem, now won't recognize my subscription RRS feed

    I re-installed Live OneCare as a last resort after running through all the other steps to resolve an issue with the firewall not activating. The firewall's fine now but OneCare won't recognize my existing subscription (which was renewed in November). It says I've got 13 days left to subscribe or else.


    When I follow the directions to subscribe/renew, I get this message:

    "The product key entered is already in use.

    If you are installing OneCare on a 2nd or 3rd computer or you are reinstalling OneCare, you do not need to use your product key again. Instead, close this browser window, return to OneCare, and click Activate again. On the Sign in page, sign in with the Windows Live ID that you originally used to install OneCare."


    I must not remember the correct Windows Live ID. That must by my problem. I've got the e-mail from my November renewal. Will that help?

  • The email address for your renewal might be the LiveID. 

    If you don't recall the LiveID you used for your subscription, you will need to contact support who can provide that information to you using your Key and/or contact information.

    Alternatively, sign in at http://billing.microsoft.com with email addresses that you have set up as LiveIDs and one will show your subscription listed - that would the LiveID to use to activate the reinstall or additional computer install.
