  • The only settings for the app are those you see in the options pane, which are all stored in the registry at 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft Research Ltd\NoReplyAddin'

However, I don't think that's what you're getting at: the reply, forward, etc settings for each email message are stored as part of that message, and those flags can be adjusted on any particular instance of an email by anyone who can access the email. As sender, you can change them how you will before you send the email; as recipient, you can change the settings of the copy of the email in your mailbox. The add-in merely exposes those flags but you can also manipulate them via VBA or PowerShell, as just two examples which don't require the user to install any additional utilities.

In other words, sorry: the add-in offers only very limited 'protection' - if you need something more solid, Exchange IRM is the way to go. There's a brief mention of such things on the add-in's project page, http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/projects/researchdesktop/noreplyall.aspx
