Legacy Windows 10 "Set Default Programs" dialog doesn't change defaults anymore RRS feed

  • Question

  • This dialog doesn't seem to affect defaults any more. By that, I mean going to "Choose defaults for this program", checking a file extension, then clicking "Save" does nothing. You can get to it by entering this in command prompt (you will get an error, but just go back to Set Default Programs)

    %windir%\system32\control.exe /name Microsoft.DefaultPrograms /page pageDefaultProgram\pageAdvancedSettings

Are there any plans on fixing this?

  • @Acrym,

This forum is not the right channel for reporting a OS issue. Communities in this forum do not have any info about the plan for fix a OS problem.

Try send it from the embed Windows Feedback tool in windows 10.

    Best regards,

    Barry
