Windows 7 Non-Genuine

Question
-
I got my laptop 2nd hand 3 plus years ago with Windows 7 Pro, World 2008 & Excel already loaded. It has been working fine and performing the auto updates with no problem. Within the last 8 days i now have nothing, screen states Windows 7 not genuine. I have been using this for over 3 years and now all my files & info are locked out by Microsoft. What is the difference between this act & ransomware? The computer & programs worked when i purchased it from a private party, Microsoft was not part of the deal, how can Microsoft legally turn off my system and demand that i purchase a new program from them when i already had my working system. If they didn't have a problem with the 1st owner or with me for over 3 years what gives them the right to highjack my computer now? I purchased private property from a private owner. I am not legally tied to any contract or agreement with Microsoft over this transaction. But now they (claim) that this program is not genuine. Nobody asked them to check nor have I installed any new programs to this computer. At what point or how many sales transactions have to happen before it becomes personal property? Microsoft has had ample time before this to make this claim. To cause me this problem now after me using and storing info for 3 plus years seems to be and over reach on their part, if not illegal.
Who is watching over Microsoft to make sure that they do not tell you that your Windows is not genuine and shut you down. This may be part of their marking, shut down all Windows 7 a little bit each year to keep sales going. How many (non-computer geeks) really keep their 20 plus numbers and packaging to their working program for years? Not happy and a little peeved.

In that case I suspect that your machine may have been infected by something nasty :(
You should take it to a good tech (not a big store!) who may be able to clean it up for you.

MGA Diagnostic Report is Required:
To properly analyze and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the diagnostic report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once downloaded, run the tool.Click on the Continue button, after a short time, the Continue button will change to a Copy button.Click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your post.Carey Frisch

Windows being non-genuine does NOT lock you out of the system of itself - it simply disables access to some of the enhancements.
Sometimes it can take a minute or two to get past the warning and complete the boot - have you waited a while before forcing the reboot?
Have you tried booting to Safe Mode?
