  • During the install I was told to remove my antivirus program I did and rebooted after finishing the install. Now my Windows xp says I have no firewall or antivirus. Is this normal or is there something I missed? Both the antivirus part and the firewall are active in onecare.

  • Go to the website of the antivirus software you uninstalled before installing One Care and see if there is an uninstall tool available. If so, download and run the tool and see if that resolves the problem.

  • You may have a corrupt WMI database causing Windows Security Center to mis-report the status of your protection. See this thread for instructions on how to repair that - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1425272&SiteID=2

  • I also had the same problem.

The previous client, however, was WOC 1.x.

The command "winmgmt /salvagerepository" did fix the problem.
I think this is a really an install issue that OnceCare 2.x should have realized and offered to fix.
