In order to become a MCT you must have one of Microsoft's "premier" certifications. This includes MCSA, MCSE, or MCITP (and others). MCTS is not enough.
Then, of course, you have to go through the very disfunctional process of requesting to be a MCT, proving you know how to teach, and paying another $400 per year for the privilege. I have it, but only because work requires it. It was a minor
pain...
