CRM emails not getting delivered to the Queue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I noticed that some emails are not reaching our CRM queue, but they are showing up in the CRM mailbox that the queue is assigned to.  Checking the CRM Router mailbox, it is shown in the Undeliverable folder.

Here's an example of the log generated in the application log from the CRM server:

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: MSCRMEmail
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 0
    Date: 7/8/2010
    Time: 2:55:12 AM
    User: N/A
    Computer: CRMServer
#9628 - An error occurred while delivering the e-mail message with subject "E-mail subject" in mailbox crmmail@mydomain.com for delivery to http://crmserver/mydomain . System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

My CRM 4.0 server and CRM Router is setup on the same box with UR4; exchange 2003 back-end is on another box with CRM Router utilising the "crmmail" mailbox account.

I know UR11 is out but a test install on a test environment has cause performance issues, so I would like to isolate the exact fix for this issue for now.

The queue owner of where this email is to be delivered has "Administrator" roles assigned in CRM.

I initially posted my question in a different thread, but it was "Marked As Answer".  However, the work around was for a different scenario so I thought I might start a new thread.

  • The initial reponse "System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.
" is a common .net error.

Start with applying the .net service pack on the users workstation.

    Then your application server.

Also there are quite a few email fixes in Rollup 12.
