  • When attempting to import from one CRM 4.0 system to another CRM 4.0 system, I get an error:

     

    "The lookup reference could not be resolved"

     

    For example in the Account  table, for Primary contact, I get this error, and I have verified that this value exist in the correct column on the Customers table that is being imported.

     

    How come it could not be resolved?

  • The client import tool has a bug where it can't lookup values in other tables. The simplest way around it is to get the import to automap the fields. You do this by ensuring the headings in your source file exactly map the labels on the CRM forms. You'll know if it has worked because you will not need to specify a mapping after selecting the entity; it will simply say 'automatic'. With automapping, the lookup works fine.

    I found that the import is looking at the actual database, and not on the other files that are being imported as well.

     

    How can I import files that have references to each other?
