  • If you are talking about going online with a web browser, you should ask about your issue in an IE forum here:

Or, if you are using a third party web browser, you should contact their tech support.

If you are developing using Visual Studio, please clarify your question to include VS version, Windows version anf project type so you can be routed to the best forum for you.

  • Hi HerbyH,

You can take the following steps to troubleshot this issue.

    1. Check if the URL was typed wrong or the link that was clicked on points to a URL with a specific kind of mistake in it.

    2. Clear your browser's cache.

    3. While this is not a common fix, try troubleshooting the problem as a 504 Gateway Timeout issue instead, even though the problem is being reported as a 400 Bad Request.

4.In some relatively rare situations, two servers may take too long to communicate (a gateway timeout issue) but will incorrectly, or at least unhelpfully, report the problem to you as a 400 Bad Request.

5.Contact the website directly that hosts the page. It's possible that the 400 Bad Request error actually isn't anything wrong on your end and it's something they need to fix, in which case letting them know about it would be very helpful.

You can get details from: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/400error.htm

What's more, this issue is off-topic here. I will move it to off-topic forum. Thank you for your understanding!
