  • Hi,

You can find the status of the exam here:

    https://www.register.prometric.com/CandidateHistory.asp

after you login, find the exam in the tabel and look for the exam status.
(If you dont have the login credentials or lost your password contact prometric )

If you passed the exam, but it is listed here as something other than passed, contact Prometric
(they going to need your copy of the score  report)

If it is marked passed with prometric, logon to mcp website https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp and lookup
your transcript to see if the exam is listed, if it is listed, then everything is ok, and you are credited for having
passed the exam, it is just the email that is gone missing. If the exam is not on there or you haven't got the
instructions email on how to create a account for the mcp website, contact your regional service center
to find the contact details for your regional service center look here http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/help/assisted-support.aspx

  • Rob,
Thanks for the reply. Is it okay to register with prometric or should get the credentials from them.

  • Ravi,

I assume you have registerd for your exams in some other way and not through the website ?

In that case you got an confirmation from Prometric by post or email.

On this confirmation there is a prometric candidate registration number, starting with 'sp' followed by some numbers
so your looking for a number that looks like: sp123456, this number you can also find on the score report
     you get after the exam

what you can do is  register for an account for the website, and during the process you get a chance to link your
candidate registration number with your website access account.

At least it was this way when I setup my account, but that was 12 years ago.

BTW now we are looking check that the sp...... number on all three confirmatiions /score reports is the same,
one of the more common problems is that people get registered in the prometric database more than once,
and as a result also get more than one mcp id. Both Microsoft and Prometric consider the two registrations to be from two
seperate persons sharing the same name, and thus you have to contact both prometric and microsoft to get things merged
    (If that is the problem)
