  • Hello jaypee_agalla,

This Microsoft site will give you lots of detail on finding and identifying CoAs:  http://www.microsoft.com/howtotell/

If it turns out that you have no CoAs and no genuine Microsoft hologrammed installation CDs for Windows or Office, the place from which you purchased your computer practiced a form of software piracy known as Hard Disk Loading.  If your sales receipt shows that you paid money specifically for Windows and Office, then the computer seller did not give you the Genuine software for which you paid.  In such case, I would encourage you to pursue any consumer protection or legal remedies available to you, just as you would when purchasing any good or service where you paid for something but did not get that something you paid for.

  • Hello jaypee_agalla,

Your computer has nongenuine Volume Licensing installations of both Windows XP Pro and Office Enterprise 2007.

Is your use of both Windows and Office in the context of a workplace at a larger business, educational institution or govermental agency?  If so, please contact the oranization's tech support staff for assisance in correcting your nongenuine installations of both Windows and Office.

If you are an individual consumer, did you purchase the copies of Windows and Office installed on your computer?  If so, you are a victim of software counterfeiting.  Can you look on the computer and with the materials and CDs that you received with the computer to see if you can find Certificates of Authenticity for Windows and Office?  If you have a CoA for Windows, Office, or both, please report what version and edition of Windows and/or Office is listed on each CoA, but don't post any product keys.

If you do not have a CoA for Windows and/or Office, tell us that, too.
