The thread is just too big to load quickly, so I have locked it - you can still see it, you just cannot post to it.

the posts are bound to keep increasing as it is a live thread where people keep asking me to send the the fix. the files are too large for me to post on the thread.
the access is far too slow and still hits 100% cpu for about a minute. any way to speed it it? can it be paged?

No way to speed up a thread that has not been moderated, I'll tell the sql forum owner about it though, so someone can at least lock it. We want to implement a cap on threads so they can't get more than 60 posts, there ins't really a great reason for threads to get so big if the forum moderators and owners are on top of it.
