Forefront Threat Management Gateway on Vail?

Question
-
I just got the Vail installed yesterday and I was looking through TechNet (as I'm a member there)... I was wondering if anyone has tried the Forefront TMG 2010 on the Vail yet? I was thinking of trying that on the Vail and see how it works.
Any comments or advices would be great...

In theory, I see no reason why it wouldn't work; Vail should meet the requirements. If you decide to give it a try, make sure you're ready to flatten your server, though, just in case. :)
Also, I'll point out that Forefront offers basically nothing that the home environment needs. You already have a router...

Windows Home Server is, if used as Microsoft intends, nothing like Windows Server to the end user. So if you have Technet access, you have access to Windows Server 2008 (several flavors), and that's what I'd use for testing purposes.

I'm currently a student majoring in Information Technology and I'd like to work in areas such as system admin or network admin.
I'm still learning the in-depth working of any type of server and I thought I'd start with a Home Server setup and then work my way up.
One thing I'd like to learn about is how to log network and website traffics as well as implementing content filtering. What place is better than at home to practice this on my family's network hehe.
What would you suggest I use at this time? I've not quite gone through all the features that Vail has to offer so it'd be nice to get some tips.
Smile Thanks!!
