MS OneNote Wont Accept Product Key RRS feed

  • This is what I had: Toshiba Laptop with OEM Windows XP Home. I puchased MS Office 2003 seperately and installed it. I found that MS OneNote came with my laptop and only needed me to enter the Product Key to use it. I entered in the product key from the bottom of my Laptop (I think this is where I found it the first time, I don't know of another source). I used this configuration with out a problem for a year.

    This is what I have now: I decided that the laptop needed to be reformated and flushed to get it running better. I used my Toshiba Recovery disk and reinstalled everything. It all went well. I installed my copy of MS Office 2003 and then tried to activate MS One Note. This is where my trouble started: neither the product key listed on the bottom of my computer or the one in the office CD worked. Then I checked my product key using the software on this site and the last few digits don't match!

    What product key do I need? How come I used it for a year and now it thinks I need a different product key.

  • If Microsoft OneNote came preinstalled on your computer, you'll need to contact Toshiba support and ask them for a OneNote Product Key.
