  • There could be many ways to solve this requirement. One of them will be;

    Create a new custom entity named Household containing the address fields and create 2 relationships with account entity, so there will be two lookup fields of account on the household entity. Once you save the household record with two accounts, you can update the account records with address details from household.

  • Hi uMar,

    your idea is interesting but i am not sure about the last part : "Once you save the household record with two accounts, you can update the account records with address details from household.". Did you mean to make an workflow or something to automatically add the address from the household to those 2 accounts?

    1. Anyway, do you know if a can customize the "customer relationship"? It may be usefull to add a category to a such relation.
    2. I have tried to make a 1 to n relation between a custom entity and a customer relationship entity but the customer relationship is not visible. Do you know if this is possible?

    Thanks!

  • Customer Relationship cannot be customized. Once you create a one to many relationship between two entities, a new lookup field is created which needs to be added on the form.

  • By "the customer relationship is not visible" i mean that the customer relationship entity is not present in the dropdown when trying to add a new 1 to n relation, therefore i cannot create needed relation.

    Can you explain me please what did you mean by "
    Once you save the household record with two accounts, you can update the account records with address details from household" ?

    Thanks

  • CRM don’t allow new custom relationships with customer relationship entity. My solution doesn’t involve customer relationship entity. I am asking to create a new entity and relate it to account entity twice.

  • I have understood your solution but i was seeking for another ones that are more related with what is already in the crm.

    Thanks for your answers.

  • Could you use account for the household and contacts for the members?
