    My apologies.  I'm not sure this is the right place to post this.  Could you please forward it to the proper person/moderator, if it is not?

    For this post: Replied to a forums thread Can't write output from get-service to my log function, can't use select-string in the The Official Scripting Guys Forum! Forum.

    I got this reply: 

    I can no longer help anyone in this forum because the code her does not work. We repeatedly have posts that fail because of bugs in the software. I and others have repeatedly asked for this to be fixed.  Microsoft has made it clear that they want to remove this and otter forums.  This one is about completely abandoned.  Thank you Microsoft.

    I highly recommend that you and others find a new forum.  This one is slowly becoming unusable.  Too bad.

    It seemed a bit odd, so I thought I would being it to your attention so you could respond to me about it.  Could you suggest another forum if that is appropriate?

    Hi,

    Don't worry about that too much, jrv is just frustrated with the web interface here. He may complain about it, but that doesn't stop him from being the top poster every single week.

    While he has some points about the overall usability of the site (especially since the massive UX change in 2013 and the reassignment of the previous forum staff), I don't run into the code posting issues as often as he does. That certainly seems to be his biggest complaint from what I've seen.

    A good number of MSFT forums have made the move over to StackOverflow and given up on TechNet/MSDN, so the trend has already started. We'll see how much effort MSFT actually wants to put into these forums going forward.

    That said, there's nothing stopping you from continuing to post here. The community is still pretty active, at least in the forums I frequent.
