windows live one backup configuration

  Get the error message "failed to save configurations--unknown problem".  Tried turning off firewall for windows live.  No change.  I have successfully backed up using windows back up via the hp care center but windows live does not

  recognize this.  Am backing up to a western digital external 350GB drive that the system recognizes as drive J.  Has anyone figured out why this windows live configuration doesn't work?  Thanks
